How to Apply

Intending candidates shall submit their application in the prescribed form, available from the office of PITC Nadathara on payment of Rs. 50/- in cash during working hours from 10.00 am to 5 pm. Application forms will be sent by post against the remittance of Rs. 60/- by M.O. to principal. Postal order will not be accepted.

Qualification

The minimum qualification for admission to the revised courses is SSLC passed or above

Age Limit: 14-40 Years

Candidate should have attained the minimum age of 14 years as on 1st August and not exceed 40 years at the same time.

Course Certificate

A course certificate will be issued to all candidates after the prescribed period of training provided that:

  1. They secure 80% attendance
  2. They satisfy the instructors concerned regarding their conduct and progress of studies
  3. They pay all the dues and arrears, if any, to the institute

Term Fees: Mode of Payment

Fees can be paid by monthly instalments or by term fees. First term fees should be paid at the time of joining and the second and third should be paid soon after the Onam and Christmas, that is, in September and December.

Uniform

All male students should wear full dark blue pants and navy blue shirt everyday when attendling the classes. No student will be permitted to attend the class with dhothies or lunkies. Female students should wear light blue sarees or chudidhars when attending the classes. No female students are permitted to wear middies.

All Automobile, Civil, Electrical, Radio and TV, Refrigeration and Electronics Engg. students must wear a Full Khakki pants when attending the practical classes.

Tools

Al students are required to possess necessary tools like spanner set, screw driver, hammer, plier, tester, etc for their respective practical classes if necessary. Students of Radio/ TV & Electronics Engg. should purchase kits to build their own Radios or Television Set.

Facilities & Concession for KGCE students

  1. Travel concession are allowed for students in Railway, KSTRC & Private Buses
  2. Scholorships in Fee & Hostel Fee are allowed for children of Coffee, Tea, Rubber Board and Railway Employees.
  3. Fee Concessions from D.S.S.A Board will be available for children of Ex-service men.

Stipendiary Facilities for SC/ST & OEC students

SC/ST students selected by the SC/ST Development Department are eligible for Stipend. Minimum qualification for admission to KGCE course is a pass in SSLC.

General Rules

  1. The Principal reserves the rights of refusing admission to any applicant without showing any reason
  2. Students are responsible to send their application for examination and remit the examination fee in time
  3. The Principal will furnish any other information not included in the prospectus
  4. Those who are not connected with the institute will not be allowed entrance to the institute premises without previous sanction of the principal
  5. The decision of the principal is final in all matters
  6. Students shall not be allowed to appear for the final examination unless they remit all dues
  7. Fees once paid are neither refundable nor transferable under any circumstances
  8. 10th day of every month will be the last date for the payment of fees. If a student fails to remit the instalment fee on due date he/she should pay appropriate a fine of Rs. 5 upto 15th. After 15th student will not be allowed to attend the class and steps will be taken to recover the dues. The student may seek re-admission by paying Rs. 50/- in addition to the fees and fine due from him/her.
  9. If any further information is required from the institute by post the necessary postage should be enclosed.
  10. If original course certificate is lost, duplicate can be issued on payment of Rs. 150/-
  11. Students are responsible for their respective instruments either for loss or damage.
  12. On the last working day of every month there will be class examination and the students should attend the exam with full permission along with necessary paper and pencils. If a student fails to attend the Exam, the fact will be duly intimated to the parent or his guardian and he / she will be allowed to continue in the institute only after the principal is satisfied with the adequacy of the reason.
  13. Students are always responsible for the discipline of the institute during the period of their training. Anyone found responsible for its breach will be expelled and their fees forfeited.
  14. Loitering in the passage or in the institute premises during class time is strictly prohibited.
  15. If a Student absents himself continuously for 15 days without leave being granted in writing, the name of such student will be removed from the records of the institute.
  16. A student who persists in being irregular is liable to be disenrolled and fees forfeited.
  17. Absence from the class examination is a serious offence. No student will ordinarily be granted leave of absence from any examination.
  18. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the institute premises.
  19. All students are to produce their certificates in original at the time of admission.
  20. In case of doubt, letter addressed to the students will be sensored and delivered.
  21. Each applicant should pay Rs. 100/- as registration fee along with their application form for admission.
  22. English will be followed as the medium of instruction for the various courses.
  23. Every student must provide himself / herself with books and instruments.
  24. Student must attend all special classes in addition to the regular classes.
  25. If a student discontinues his / her studies own interest or otherwise he / she shall have to pay the full fees for the course and no amount will be refunded under any cost.
  26. An examination will be arranged at the end of the 1st and 2nd year in all the subjects by the institute. The examination fee for subjects is Rs. 150/-
